Interim

A few people were wondering if I had abandoned my Mahabaleshwar travelogue midway. Well the thing is I have a problem! My Internet hours at home are over! My brother had taken up this silly scheme, which was supposed to last for the entire month, but got over even before the middle of the month!! :((
And I cannot blog from office, so I will have to just wait till next month! This pushes out my plans to start on my Songs Countdown too, unfortunately.
I have hence decided that I will use the Internet hours more judiciously next month, or just maybe get a better scheme!
Tell then, KANK, as one of my wacky friends loves to say! LOL! :D

Filler

This is just a stop gap post. Don't feel like typing out some lengthy stuff... I was in good ole Hyderabad over this last weekend and am still in a shaadi mood, 'cause I've just come back after attending the marriage of one of my closest school friends. She is the first from our batch to get married!! YIPEEE! Am so happy for her! May she find every joy possible on this earth!

Anyway, thanks to Niki I came across this blogthing:

The Movie Of Your Life Is A Black Comedy

In your life, things are so twisted that you just have to laugh. You may end up insane, but you'll have fun on the way to the asylum.
Your best movie matches: Being John Malkovich, The Royal Tenenbaums, American Psycho

If Your Life Was a Movie, What Genre Would It Be?

That Time of the Year...

It's that time of the year again.... Internship time! Sigh! Though I really do like doing my internship duties I don't like the part where I'm left with hardly any time to pursue the stuff I like to do like blogging!
Anyway, I won't bore you people with details of my "busy schedule" and get right to the point. I'm in the process of compiling my list of fav songs of 2005, any free second I get. It's still not complete, and I still have to add some and delete some and what not. But I'm hoping to post it by Saturday or Sunday, as this whole week am gonna be busy preparing for a presentaion to be given in a high school to 8th grade kiddies.
So hopefully, my list will be up by end of this week. And so sorry that I haven't been able to visit all my favourite blogs. :( But I will definitely make up for lost time as soon as I can. Till then au revoir good people!

Hoax

Apparently the picture that I put up under the "Night and Day" post is a hoax. For those of you who haven't been on the link provided by Abhijeet on the comments page, here it is http://www.museumofhoaxes.com/tests/hoaxphotoanswers4.html

Night and Day

Today when I checked my email after ages I found this interesting forward. It's quite fascinating actually! I hope all you guys also enjoy it. :)
The photograph attached was taken by the crew on board the Columbia during its last mission, on a cloudless day. The picture is of Europe and Africa when the sun is setting. Half of the picture is in night. The bright dots you see are the cities' lights. The top part of Africa is the Sahara Desert. Note that the lights are already on in Holland, Paris, and Barcelona, and that it's still daylight in Dublin, London, Lisbon, and Madrid. The sun is still shining on the Strait of Gibraltar. The Mediterranean Sea is already in darkness. In the middle of the Atlantic Ocean you can see the Azores Islands; below them to the right are the Madeira Islands; a bit below are the Canary Islands; and further South, close to the farthest western point of Africa, are the Cape Verde Islands. Note that the Sahara is huge and can be seen clearly both during day time and night time. To the left, on top, is Greenland, totally frozen.

The Reason...

Quite a few people are wondering when my next post is gonna come. Am completely flattered!! :D
The reason I've not been blogging for sometime is that my internship has started. I'm interning at J. J. hospital, one of the largest government hospitals in Bomb
ay, if not the largest (For those who don't know, I'm pursuing my Masters in clinical psychology)!
I was so damn nervous the first day, wasn't sure that I would be able to speak to the patients in Hindi. Am not too fluent in Hindi, I've to always pause and try to translate
English words into Hindi in my mind. But I surprised myself! Today I got my first client and I spoke pretty well in Hindi, even though I say so myself! Plus, I wasn't nervous at all! I did fumble a few times here and there, but recovered marvelously!
O.K., I'll stop with the self-flattery here!
:D
So anyway, I don't think I'll be able to be quite regular with blogging. And am not too happy about this, but that's the way the cookie crumbles. :(
I'll try and be as regular as possible in reading all my favourite blogs too. So until the next time, byeeeeeee!!

Blah Blah...!

I saw ‘Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith’ two days ago. It was hyped as the best Star Wars movie ever, and I of course was dying to see it. Mom wanted to see ‘Naina’ instead, but I vetoed the idea and we went off to the distant suburb of Andheri to watch ‘Star Wars’ in Fun Republic, one of the many multiplexes populating Bombay suburbs.
The movie was really good! Hayden Christensen could have been much, much better unfortunately he was not. I thought the fall of Anakin Skywalker would be far more dramatic. His descent in to Darth Vader was quite impressive though!
But the actor who STOOD OUT was Ewen McGregor. Not only does he look good and has a cute accent, but also acts very well!! :D
All in all, the movie was worth traveling all the way to Andheri in a crowded local train compartment!

GO 92.5 FM, a radio station in Bombay is holding a contest called ‘Bollywood Badshah’. I’d taken part in this contest last year, and had actually qualified to be in the round that comes before the semi-finals (what do you call that??!). It was a really nice experience, going to their studio and actually being quizzed on air! I was so nervous! The RJ saw that and started singing “Urvashi Urvashi”, that famous Prabhu Deva song. Well, that did not help matters, as that song was the bane of my existence when I was in the sixth grade, as most people in my school would burst out into this song to irritate me!!
Anyway, I didn’t do very well, getting only five out of ten correct. I actually even forgot who the director of “1 2 ka 4” was!! And I’m a huge Shah Rukh Khan fan!! (In case anyone’s wondering, the director’s Shashilal Nair).
But it was quite a nice experience anyway.

I’m going to Kerala this week. Yay! I’ve always wanted to go to Kerala. The backwaters look so wonderful in all those “Kerala Tourism” ads! And I will be going at last!! As you can see, I’m very, very excited!

And here I’ll just end my ramblings. Nothing very exciting or interesting to report. Hopefully, I’ll be full of adventurous, funny, scary, or other ‘adjective’y stories to fill my blog and bore everyone to death!! Ha ha ha! Hmmm… but seriously, I don’t think I write about boring stuff, well except this once!
